HDB launched more than 7,500 new flats in its biggest and final sales exercise this year. This includes 4,277 Build-To-Order or BTO flats extent across in Sengkang, Sembawang, Tampines and Yishun, as well as 3,291 Sale of Balance Flats or SBF exercise.
The new flats in Tampines will be the very first housing projects in Tampines North that highlight the first Three-Generation (3Gen) flats in the area. A total of 29,129 flats for sale in 2014 is offered to meet the various housing needs of many Singaporeans.
Tampines GreenRidges, will be the first Three-Generation flats in Tampines North and the first district to feature an automated waste collection system which is the ‘Pneumatic Waste Conveyance System’. The Sale of Balance Flats (SBF) include 2 to 5 bedroom units, studio apartments, executive flats and 3Gen homes, while the other Build-To-Order (BTO) flats will consist 2 to 5 bedroom units.
Another Singapore Property in Tampines area is The Santorini @ Tampines. This project is developed by Singapore’s renowned developer MCC Land, featuring optimum unit sizes from 1 bedroom to 5 bedrooms to accommodate to the growing family and young professional.
To prevent a flood in private and public home markets, Khaw Boon Wan, National Development Minister had mentioned, from next year, the amount of new BTO flats would be reduced by 25 % to around 16,900 flats and the amount of BTO exercises decreased from the current six a year to four.
Analysts stated the reduction is right against the backdrop of a slow resale market.
