OneKM, the largest mall in Paya Lebar opened its doors to shoppers last November 30, 2014 (Sunday). It stands 3 floors high- with high ceiling and modern architecture. This project is under the infamous UOL Group.
UOL Group said that the opening ceremony was attended by Associate Professor Fatimah Lateef, a member of the Parliament for the Marine Parade GRC.
OneKM is positioned near the upcoming commercial hub in Paya Lebar. It features its 150 retail shops that are well placed in its 200,000 square feet of land coverage. The shops are composed of restaurants, bookstores, entertainment shops, dress shops and many more! Indeed, there is a perfect spot for every person who is in need of something!
As to UOL, they said that the mall already received a pre-commitment lease of around 90%. This was assured prior to their official opening. This assurance was overwhelming for the developer thinking that in today’s economy, shop operators are facing cost pressures, labor shortages and strict competition over online sellers.
To meet the current issues that shop operators meet, UOL President Liam Wee Sin assured their retailers that they will work closely with them in order to find ways on how to increase their productivity and at the same time meet their manpower insufficiency.
OneKM actually boasts its central kitchen that could serve three restaurants. This concept helps address the manpower shortages that F&B outlets face.
It should be noted that UOL Group is also the mind behind successful malls in the country namely Velocity @ Novena and United Square.
