HDB data for 2016 shows a slight drop in apartment resale price.
According to the Resale Price Index (RPI) estimation, HDB resale apartments’ price fell by 0.1 percent during 2016.
For the fourth quarter of 2016, a preliminary report shows 0.1 percent drop in the resale apartment prices, from the previous three-month period. The detailed data for the fourth quarter of 2016 is expected to be released on January 26, 2017.
The RPI presents overall price fluctuation information for the resale public housing market. The Housing Board publishes the RPI every quarter.
The HDB, in the meantime, says just about 17,000 new apartments will be available for sale in 2017.
In February, 2017, about 4,100 apartments will be offered in Clementi, Punggol, Tampines and Woodlands for the first Build-To-Order (BTO) exercise.
