Five out of ten Singaporeans aimed to acquire a residential unit in coming years, proven in H1 2017 of recent Regional Consumer Sentiment Survey.

Even if the sentimental value in the acquired home property around the city-state is greater compared to Thailand which is 43 percent only,  but lower than Malaysia having 52 percent and 60 percent for Indonesia.

Despite the good intention of purchasing home, property buyers still can’t help but worry about the prices, with existing property affordability emotional reactions which remain at 29 based on H2 2016  survey.  It remained same in Thailand which is 34, and 52 for Indonesia and Malaysia noted slight increase which is 38.

Hari V Krishnan, CEO of PropertyGuru Group’s told, ” In Singapore,  seeing the true intent in buying homes persisted to be strong and positive while consumers on the other hand continuously express their capacities to afford the said homes. Although the Singapore market for real estate appears to regain in 2018, issues related to affordability seems to continue hobbling the supply’s absorption.

A study reported that people of Singapore are accepting both resale and new home properties, and those three markets from Southeast Asia who have the passion for new property.  The location and security of the property are the biggest factors that influence the buyer’s decision.

About 3, 100 respondents of the recent survey done by  PropertyGuru and these respondents are from Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand, and Singapore.
