Despite market sentiment for the Singapore real estate sector showed weakness, the sentiment index recovered slightly from 3.8 in first quarter of 2015 to 3.9 in second quarter of 2015, according to the  latest survey by Real Estate Developers’ Association of Singapore (REDAS) and National University of Singapore (NUS).
A more than 5 score presents good market conditions, while a less than 5 score shows deteriorating conditions of market.
The prime retail and residential sectors were the worst performing sectors in real estate, while the business park/hi-tech space was the best performing sector.
However, the Future Sentiment Index in which market sentiment are measures for the coming 6 months, increased to 4.0% from 3.7% of previous quarter.
The survey of REDAS and NUS also seemed that developers are supposed to hold back the launches of residential, about 75% of Singapore Property developers are hoping for new launches like Principal Garden @ Prince Charles Crescent and High Park Residences to increase or continued the same level in the next 6 months.
