The Singapore's portThe Singapore’s port has been awarded for being Asia’s Best Seaport at the 2015 Asia Freight, Logistics and Supply Chain Awards (AFLAS), beating other finalists such as Hong Kong and Shanghai.

The 2015 AFLAS awards was held in Hong Kong last June 24 and organised by Asia Cargo News. The Singapore’s port has won 27th time for the prestigious award.

The Singapore’s port was chosen best for its outstanding performance such as container shipping-friendly fee regime, cost competitiveness, timely & adequate investment in new infrastructure to meet future demand, provision of suitable container shipping-related infrastructure and the facilitation of ancillary services.

Singapore will keep on planning and invest ahead like the commissioning of Terminal Phases 3 and 4 at Pasir Panjang which will expand the port with a total capacity of 50 million TEUs when completed  by end-2017.

The S$3.5 billion expansion for Pasir Panjang Terminal was launched by Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong last 23 June. The area is located close to some Singapore Property like The Orient @ Pasir Panjang.
