Gramercy ParkThe son of Kwek Leng Beng of the property giant City Developments Limited no steps up as the new Deputy Chief Executive Officer of the company, assisting Chief Executive Officer Grant L. Kelley in managing key operating divisions of the company. The 40-year old Sherman Kwek has been the former Chief Investment Officer of CDL and Chief Executive Officer of CDL China He also held executive management roles in CDL’s parent company Hong Leong Group.

In addition to this, there are another 5 new appointments that are effective immediately. CDL stated on a statement on Monday, April 11 that the decision is part of the leadership progression and succession plans within the senior management team.

The son of the late Deputy Chairman Kwek Leng Joo, Kwek Eik Sheng has been appointed as Head of Asset Management in addition to his present responsibilities as Chief Strategy Officer. Included in his responsibilities are developing and implementing asset strategies to the company’s diverse investment portfolio. He served as Assistant General Manager in the Business Development & Asset Management (International) Department, and Head of Corporate Development since joining the company in 2009.

Meanwhile, Yiong Yim Ming is appointed as Chief Financial Officer (CFO), following the resignation of the former CFO early this year. Since the resignation, Yiong Yim Ming handled the duties and responsibilities of a CFO. Her 10-year stint with KPMG Singapore and a couple of years with Ernst & Young Singapore are included in the list of her experiences.

Included in the latest appointments are Galen Lee as Head of Capital Markets,  Mark Yip as Chief Executive Officer of CDL China and Belinda Lee, as Head, Investor Relations in line with her present position as Head, Corporate Communications.

CDL is behind the prestigious developments that include The Criterion EC, Gramercy Park, The Venue Residences & Shoppes and Nouvel 18.
