Singapore Sustainability AcademySustainable Energy Association of Singapore (SEAS) and City Developments Limited (CDL) jointly launched last 5 August the Singapore Sustainability Academy (SSA).

For the first time a non-profit organisation and a local property developer have joined together to create a networking facility and major training on sustainability.

Singapore Sustainability Academy (SSA) plans to encourage sustainable practices among community and businesses. It will concentrate on main areas of user management, education and training, and advocacy, among others.

The initiative is supported by the National Environment Agency (NEA), the Building and Construction Authority (BCA), the Ministry of the Environment and Water Resources (MEWR) and the Urban Redevelopment Authority (URA).

The 4,300 sq ft academy is located at the roof terrace of CDL’s City Square Mall, it comprises a veranda, classrooms, an exhibition gallery and an office.

City Developments Limited (CDL) is a Singapore listed international property developer well-known in developing remarkable residential development, including Gramercy Park and The Criterion EC.

The zero-energy building was built with around $2 million cost and it will feature a solar technology with 3,230 sq ft of photovoltaic panels.
