Because of its sustainable practices, CapitaLand has repeatedly been recorded in the Dow Jones Sustainability Asia Pacific Index and also in the Dow Jones Sustainability World Index (DJSI).
The reason why the CapitaLand considered as the longest-standing Singapore Company to be acknowledged in the Dow Jones Sustainability World Index is that the group has its ninth successive listing in the regional index and it is now on its sixth successive listing in the world index.
For the consecutive seven years, CapitaLand was also entitled as the Regional Sector Leader of Asia(Diversified1) in the Real Estate Assessment of Global Real Estate Sustainability Benchmark (GRESB).
CapitaLand Mall Trust (CMT) was also recognized by the GRESB and it was named as the Regional Sector Leader of Asia (Retail – Listed).
GRESB is an industry-driven association which its function is to determine the social, ecological and governance operation of real property globally, along with real estate portfolios. The members, including the financial persons and subsidy funds, use GRESB information to enhance their return profile and expenditure’s exposure.

In the month of January, it was recorded in RobecoSAM’s The Sustainability Yearbook 2017 while appearing second in the Singapore Governance and Transparency Index (SGTI) that was held annually under the general classification in August.
It was also on January where CapitaLand Commercial Trust, CapitaLand Mall Trust and CapitaLand were also recorded in the year’s FTSE4Good ASEAN 5 Index and on the FTSE4Good Index.
