Base on Urban Redevelopment Authority (URA) mid-month data, Singapore property developers sold 613 private homes in March 2015 excluding executive condominiums, showing an increase of 60% from the last month when 390 units were occupied.
A total of 400 private units were launched for sale last March and up 12% slowdown in project last February due to the Chinese New Year period.
PropNex Realty noted that the combination of additional new units launched for sale and affordable prices of projects in a continuously price-sensitive property market attract bargain hunting home buyers back to showflats.
Despite of the decreased sentiment for buying property, the sales last month proves that underlying demand is still strong if property prices are attractive, the agency added.
