According to the National Development Minister Lawrence Wong, the impending new HBD town will be set out near the Jurong Innovation District and will be merged with nature as projected recently labelled to be the future “Forest Town”. 
This was affirmed by the announcement made earlier by the Finance Minister Heng Swee Keat on his Budget 2016 remark. He mentioned that the Tengah new town will be right next to the Jurong Innovation District, a future industrial park for business, living and learning.
Considering that the entire area is bounded with lush greenery, the Tengah new Town will soon be awarded as a “Forest Town”, as planned. The Minister futher mentioned that with the presence of Jurong Innovation District, this will soon become a zestful place to work, live and play.
More details of the project will be disclosed in due time.
