Jurong Innovation District (JID) set to be the future of innovation for enterprise, living, learning, research and production activities in a “next-generation industrial district”. JTC has launched Launchpad@JID which works as a platform for students, researchers and entrepreneurs to design, prototype and test out their new innovation. This Launchpad@JID is expected to be completed by 2017.
Meanwhile, JTC has also started an Open Innovation Call for potential entrepreneurs to test and development innovative solutions within the Jurong District itself. The first phase in JID set to be completed by 2022. This will potentially bring out the property prices around jurong due to demand and supply and also potential for rental yield. On the other hand, it bring jobs close to an address one call Home.
