The Singapore's much awaited town and first integrated lifestyle hub at Tampines will soon to open in two months' time, Channel NewsAsia reported to media.
The new Town Hub of Tampines will be the first integrated lifestyle hub in Singapore, nearby residents living at The Santorini @ Tampines Condominium will be able to experience and enjoy community centre, F&B outlets, 800-seater hawker centre and badminton hall.
When fully developed, the new community space will provide facilities such as 5-storey regional library, 6 swimming pools, 20-court badminton hall and a stadium with 5,000-seater.
According to Mr Heng Swee Keat, Minister of Education and Tampines grassroots organisations adviser, the new community hub of Tampines is the outcome of different proposal and ideas submitted by Tampines residents.
The Minister was also present in the opening of 1km new cycling path placed at Tampines Street 11, celebrating the 10th anniversary of Tampines cycling committee.
Plans for upcoming town hub were first revealed in 2011 by National Development Minister Mah Bow Tan for Tampines being part of 5-year master plan.
