Today may be the 2nd day of October, but this month new home sales set to be at record high with the launch of Alps Residences on 2nd October 2016 and Forest Woods on 2 weekend of October. Hundreds of buyers queue up for the launch of the Alps Residences as the balloting starts at 11am.
The draw of Alps Residences is the low quantum as well as the design concept. The 1 bedroom units start from 491k, 2 bedrooms start 691k, 3 bedrooms starts from 9xxk and the 4 bedrooms start from 1.3xm. The design concept is also unique, being inspired by Swiss Alpine region as it redefine condominium skyline by stagging different floors over different blocks like mountain top at Swiss Alpine. Finishing and flooring adopt and snowy concept using white textile, resembling that of snow.
Within 1 week of opening the Alps Residences Showflat, more than 1000 groups of buyers visisted the showflat. Most of the buyers are staying around Tampines, Bedok, Simei and Paris Ris area.
Forest Wood Preview
Another Condominium by CDL, Forest Woods open last weekend for showflat preview on 24th sept, on the same day as The Alps Residences which also saw more than 1000 groups of buyer visited the showflat. “Whole Singapore new home buyers seems to be in either 1 of these showflat” from the overwhelming response.
The location of Forest Woods and The Alps Residences will appeal to HDB upgraders as the configuration is designed for own stay and also with the low quantum. Forest Woods being located near Serangoon MRT Interchange and NEX Shopping Centre is the main draw for families looking for ultimate convenience.
The improvement in market sentiment could be due to government reiterating that cooling measures is still too early to be adjusted. Since the implementation of cooling measures in 2013, many potential buyers have sit on the fence and hoping that property prices will drop for them to pick up “fire sale”, but that did not occur. However with the cooling measures in place, developers are more realistics in launching the new condos at fair market value.
