Initiated by Sports Singapore, the famous hub is named  Bukit Canberra which showcases the second Recreation Centre and Town Sports under the program of Sports Facilities Master Plan following Heartbeat@Bedok, published by The New Paper.

The extravagant $1.5 billion project will have its full operation in 2020 and by 2021, Phase 1will have its initial opening.

Other MP’s also joined him such as the Amrin Amin, the Senior Parliamentary Secretary of Home Affairs and Health, the 800 residents and Khaw Boon Wan, the Transport Minister of Singapore.

To allow residents for chances to unwind and meet other people, the hub provides various features and services.

For example, a 3 km running trails in various difficulties are provided along with a lot of healthcare alternatives to choose like the polyclinic and the senior health care centres offering rehabilitative and occupational services.

However, Khaw who is also part of the Sembawang GRC of MP hopes the latest attraction which is the park and sports amenities will encourage residents to practice healthy lifestyle so that ” our polyclinic will have zero business.”

The Rx or doctor’s prescription strictly includes routine regular exercises. This time, no one is exempted, ” he stressed.
