Resale prices of Singapore private apartments and condominiums dropped for a second consecutive month in August, after an edge increase from March to June, based on SRX Property flash estimate on 13 September.
Prices slumped by 0.8% in August compared with previous months, according to SRX. The month-on-month price decline was also revised in July to 0.7% from 0.4%.
Home prices in suburban and city fringe areas registered decline of 0.7% and 1.5% respectively, while the prime districts homes eked out a 0.1% increase.
Resale prices for August 2016 was lower by 0.8% on a year-over-year basis, down by 7.8% from the last peak in January year 2014.
The data from SRX Property also shows that 5.3% more resale units were sold, from 776 units in July to 817 units in August.
