The government plans to build an integrated development in an open field close to Buangkok MRT station, the Ministry of National Development (MND) announced last 7 November.

In a response to a parliamentary questions from MP Gan Thiam Poh about the progress of the upcoming integrated project, the MND stated a residential development will be integrated with the MRT station and a bus interchange.

The MND also added that there are also plans to build commercial amenities and community facilities.

According to the Ministry, the Urban Redevelopment Authority (URA) is working hardly with other agencies to assure that the various uses are well planned and integrated in the upcoming development.

Additional details for the upcoming development will be announced once the plans are completed, the MND said.

The Buangkok MRT station serves nearby schools and housing estates in the area, including the upcoming residential development, Jewel @ Buangkok.
