There’s a total of 13 bidders for the residential plot of land at martin place. The 2nd bidder is not too far off at $588million by Intrepid Investments, a subsidiary of City Development Limited.

Base on $1,239psf, this is the highest bid so far for a pure residential site probably due to its strategic location in Singapore District 9 which is rare for GLS. Highline residences and Sophia Hills hit a high of $1163 psf ppr and $1,157psf ppr respectively previously.

Guocoland will have to test the limit of a 99 years leasehold development in District 9 which could probably be selling about $2,300psf.
