Data from the Urban Redevelopment Authority (URA) showed that transactions of new homes sales, excluding executive condominiums (ECs), stayed the same in April, with developers transacting 653 units as compared to 654 units in March.

The closed bids for two state-owned plots were a bit of a mixed bag. Developers were eager to open their wallets for a site in Pine Grove, but they didn’t seem too interested in a large site in Dunman Road.

A Chinese citizen had purchased 20 apartments at CanningHill Piers, a new condominium at Clarke Quay, for more than $85 million.

A poll showed that 71 percent of developers expect transacted prices of new development in the next six months to stay moderately or significantly higher. This is bad news for people who want to buy a home.

This weekend, Bukit Sembawang Estates said it had sold more than 75% of the 298 units in its Liv@MB condo. On its first day on the market, Saturday, May 21, more than 220 units were sold at an average price of $2,387 psf.
