Thomson East Coast LineResidents staying at East Coast enclave can look forward to new MRT Line coming at their door steps with the release of Thomson East Coast Line that link Northern Region to Eastern Region of Singapore. This new MRT line set to be completed by 2024.

Thomson East Coast Line (TEL) will be Singapore sixth rail line. The Thomson Line and Eastern Region Line will be linked up together in a single line that stretch 43km that linked up 31 MRT stations.

Some of the MRT Station will have Underground Bicycle parking lots, the first of its kind as announced by Land Transport Authority (LTA). The stations that will have these bicycle car park lots include Bayshore, Sungei Bedok, Marine Terrace and Marine Parade MRT Stations.

SMRT Line

Eastern Region Line

The Eastern Region Line will be fully underground starting from Garden by the Bay station to Sungei Bedok. Its covers areas such as Bayshore, Siglap, Marine Parade and Bedok South. These MRT stations are expected to start operational by 2023.

 

Tanjong Rhu MRT Station

Tanjong Rhu MRT StationTanjong Rhu MRT Station will be at Tanjong Rhu road, in between Pebble Bay and Casuarina. It is strategically positioned there to serve Tanjong Rhu resident and also visitors to the Singapore Indoor Stadium which is just minutes away across the bridge

 

 

 

 

Amber MRT Station

Amber MRT StationAmber Station will be at the entrance to Meyer Road, just directly in front of Aalto. This station will serve residents staying at Meyer Road and Amber Road.

 

 

 

 

Bayshore MRT Station

Bayshore MRT StationBayshore MRT station will be located along Bayshore road, just beside Costa Del Sol and Bayshore Park. The Bayshore MRT station is strategically positioned here to serve the residents staying at The Bayshore, Bayshore Park and Costa Del Sol that probably has the highest density over at Bayshore area.

With the Thomson East Coast Line in place, travelling time will be signfically reduced. E.g. A trip from Marine Parade to Shenton Way travelling time will reduced 50% to only 20 minutes.
